Roofing Contractors vs. Insurance Companies

Home Insurance

Katrina has caused local roof repair costs to just about double.

Material costs have spiked, due to greater demand and rising costs for petroleum-based products. And hundreds of out-of-state workers, who have flooded the market to handle the surge in roofing jobs, require temporary lodging and food.

Those factors have contractors demanding prices of between $180 and $230 per square. And they expect insurers to reach the same conclusion shortly.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Roofing Contractors vs. Insurance Companies. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
